Getting Started - Sellers

  1. Create an account - Sign up for free with your email address
  2. Click "Post Ad" - Find the button in the top navigation
  3. Fill out the form - Add title, description, photos, price, and location
  4. Choose category - Select the most appropriate category for your item
  5. Publish your listing - Review and submit to make it live
Free accounts can have up to 15 active listings at any time.

Listing limits depend on your account type:

  • Free Accounts: Up to 15 active listings
  • Pro Accounts: Up to 250 active listings

Listings never expire - they stay active until you delete them or mark them as sold.

Getting Started - Buyers

  1. Browse or search - Use the search bar or browse categories
  2. View listings - Click on items that interest you
  3. Contact the seller - Use our messaging system
  4. Arrange pickup/shipping - Coordinate with the seller
  5. Complete the transaction - Inspect item and pay as agreed
Always meet in safe, public places for item exchanges.

The "Verified Sellers" filter shows only listings from sellers who have purchased verification.

This filter shows sellers who:

  • Have User Verification badge (CHF 12)
  • Have Business Verification badge (CHF 75)
  • Are official Troovo Partners

Verification & Trust

User Verification uses Stripe Identity for automated government ID verification.

What you get:
  • Blue "ID Verified" badge on your profile and listings
  • Appear in the "Verified Sellers" filter
  • Build trust with buyers
Verification Process:
  1. Pay CHF 12 via Stripe
  2. You'll be redirected to Stripe Identity
  3. Upload your government-issued ID
  4. Take a selfie for verification
  5. Verification completes in 5-30 minutes

Common Scam Warning Signs:
  • Price too good to be true
  • Seller refuses to meet in person
  • Requests payment before viewing
  • Poor communication or grammar
  • Pressure to decide quickly
  • Requests unusual payment methods (gift cards, Western Union)
Protect Yourself:
  • Ask to verify seller identity (meet in person)
  • Use the "Verified Sellers" filter if preferred
  • Never send money in advance
  • Always inspect items personally
  • Use secure payment methods

Important: Troovo is a marketplace platform and is not liable for transactions between users.
If a seller disappears after payment:
  1. Document everything:
    • Save all messages
    • Screenshot the listing
    • Keep payment receipts
  2. Report the user to Troovo:
    • Use the "Report" button
    • Provide a detailed description
    • We investigate and ban users if needed
  3. File police report:
    • Contact local police (Dial 117)
    • Provide all evidence and documentation
    • Get a case reference number
  4. Contact your payment provider:
    • PayPal offers buyer protection for eligible transactions
    • Your bank may be able to help with fraud cases

Troovo will cooperate with law enforcement and provide user information if legally required.

If fraud occurs and police investigate, here's what data exists and how authorities can access it:

What Data Troovo Has

Troovo can provide police with:

  • User account information (email, username, phone)
  • Listing history
  • Message history between users
  • IP addresses and login logs
  • Verification status (whether user paid for verification)
  • Transaction dates and times
Important About Verification Data:
Troovo does NOT store government ID documents. Stripe Identity stores all ID verification data (passport, ID card, selfie photos). Police must contact both Troovo AND Stripe to get complete information.
What Data Stripe Has

Stripe Identity stores:

  • Government ID photos (passport, ID card, driver's license)
  • Full legal name from ID
  • Date of birth
  • ID document number
  • Verification selfie photo
How Police Request Data
  1. File police report:
    • Contact Swiss police at 117
    • Get case number and formal complaint
  2. Police contact Troovo:
    • Police send formal request to: [email protected]
    • Troovo provides account data, messages, IPs, listings
  3. Police contact Stripe:
    • Stripe has legal process at: stripe.com/legal/ler
    • Police submit subpoena/legal request to Stripe
    • Stripe responds to valid legal requests from law enforcement
For Victims:
Tell police there are TWO data sources:
  • Troovo has: account activity, messages, IP logs
  • Stripe has: government ID documents, legal name, selfie

Troovo fully cooperates with law enforcement investigations and will provide all available data with proper legal requests.

You can report issues through several channels:

  • Contact Support - Use our contact form for general issues

We review all reports within 24 hours and take appropriate action.

No, Troovo doesn't handle shipping directly. Sellers and buyers arrange shipping privately.:

  • Swiss Post - Nationwide delivery
  • Private couriers - DPD, DHL, etc.
  • Pickup only - Most sellers prefer local pickup

Shipping costs are arranged between buyer and seller

Troovo supports all Swiss national languages plus English:
